Ok, I haven’t visited this site in much too long. I’ve been eating crap lately (well, most people would still consider it healthy, but it’s crap by my standards, ha). So, back to the beginning. Starting tomorrow, raw breakfast. Hell, I haven’t been eating breakfast AT ALL lately!
I was looking at the requirements I still must meet in order to graduate, and calculated that if I take 4 courses each quarter for the next 5 quarters, I can graduate NEXT SUMMER. This is very exciting news for me, because it’ll be the first thing I have completed in my adult life that I can be proud of and actually talk about (as opposed to things I have done that I am proud of, but not everyone would see why…). I am very excited, and I am willing to work very hard and put in many hours in order to complete a B.A. finally. Godspeed to me!
I read in “Living Cuisine” by Renee Loux Underkoffler that the goal is to drink 1 ounce of water for every 2 pounds of body weight every day. That would mean 55 ounces of water daily for me, which equals approximately 5 pint size Mason jars of water every day (thats what I drink out of). That is totally doable, especially since I have started drinking a full one first thing in the morning anyway. This goal was a bit vague, which is why I had not done anything with it. Now that I have a specific amount in mind, I can proceed with ease. 5 a day. As is, I drink maybe half that.
My first step in reaching this goal is to start with the first meal of the day and make it raw from now on. I have been doing this lately anyway, but not steadily. Starting tomorrow, I will eat only raw breakfasts, I am thinking mostly green smoothies, but I plan to try my hand at nut milk also. I watched an interview (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fxb_4AYEL0&feature=player_embedded) with some rawist athletes, and the lady in the interview was 52 years old and looked about 15-20 years younger than that. She kind of inspired me to really take action, and stop beating around the bush with the idea, like I have been for about the last year now. This has been a year of some major changes in a positive direction, and it’s only 6 months in, so I might as well keep it up.

Well, with my new job I am defintely getting some excersize. While I wasn’t working, I wasn’t doing anything but sitting on my computer or sitting and reading books all day. So I can consider my job as some daily excersize…now just gotta do something on my days off!
I have met a like minded person and become friends with them, and have had the wonderful oppurtunity to spend extra time with them yesterday, in which we spent 3 and a half hours talking. It was so very nice to have found someone to talk to, it seems it has been a long time since I have been able to sit and talk to someone for so long and it not be a debate style exchange, but instead just a conversation, an exchange of ideas not fueled by conflict. I feel utmost gratitude to the universe for providing me with that experience. On New Years Day I made a conscious intention to attract more like minded individuals into my life, and I initially met this person 5 days later. From the second we were in the same room together, we both felt the connection and knew we would be friends, and immediately began talking. Theory in practice. Make the intention and it is done.
