How I did it: I knew I'd be in Chicago this month and back in the spring I started researching the best shops and artists there. I found Insight Studios and originally I had in mind another piece and artist but it didn't work out. I'm glad for that. I ended up talking with Ryan and he was totally accommodating. When I walked into the shop, he already had the script drawn out and was ready to place it - it was perfect. He started and let me know that if… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I made a resolution to eliminate soda from my diet. I decided to take a further and eliminate everything except water from it. I’ve started with Spanish for two reasons:
1. I’m 1/2 Mexican and felt like I should become fluent in my father’s native language just out of principle.
2. I was vainly hoping that since it was in my blood, I might possibly be genetically or environmentally predisposed to absorbing it. :)
I’m doing Spanish, Spain and it’s harder than I thought it’d be! The dialect is so different from the way I’m used to hearing and speaking it. But I think I’m doing well and I’m excited at the progress I’ve made so far.
