I’m kinda sad about this goal, but at the same time really happy. I’ve had to put this one on the back burner for now. I finally started dropping some real weight. I was down 80 lbs. Then really unexpectedly, I got pregnant! I had been trying for a couple years now, so I’m highly estatic about it. On the other hand though, I’m dreading how much more impossible this goal is going to be to reach when I’m a mommy. Whats worse is the dedication I had to fitness when I was losing weight has really taken a bad hit from fatigue and nausea. 32 weeks down, anywhere from 5 to 10 more weeks to go before I can start thinking about getting back on track!

Wow, its been a long time since I’ve been back to this site, but a lot has changed since then. Right now, I’m 32 weeks pregnant. This is a huge deal for me since I thought I would never be able to due to PCOS.
I’m not real sure what the secret to my sucess was, but I did lose 80lbs and I was on Metformin right before I got pregnant. It really snuck up on me. I didn’t suspect at all. I didn’t even take a home pregnancy test before running off to the doctor with a stomach issue that wouldn’t go away! I found out on my 2nd wedding anniversary. Best anniversary present ever! :)
I’m working on this one as well. I’ve lost 67lbs so far. And so far, I still am not ovulating. I feel like less of a woman because I do not have a cycle. Also, my husband wants to be a dad very badly. I hate PCOS. It’s affected my life in horrible ways. I spent so many years wondering what was wrong with me.
On a positive note, because of the PCOS, the doctors tested me for diabetes and declared me a type 2 diabetic. They ran blood tests on me like crazy and I did in fact have it for a year. Since I started losing the weight, I have not had any spikes in blood sugar and I haven’t taken the metformin. So it looks like I overcame that. Now I just have to work on finding a doctor that won’t just brush me off like a lost cause.
UPDATE
2 weeks after I wrote that… I FINALLY ovulated! This is the first time in many many many years that I didn’t have to take pills to force a cycle! yayyyy! I’ve really been losing lots of fat recently by working out. I’m down to about 70 lbs or so lost. I have noticed though that this natural one is very much more painful than the drug induced ones… Owwwwwwies…
