Every time I receive a cheer I generally look at the goal list of the person who gave it to me, to see what they’re up to an possibly cheer them. User ‘energy’ who shared the same bike-riding goal as me had this goal on their list. I thought I’d try it! I’m yet to formulate a list of vices but I soon shall.

How I did it: It took me a while. I'm not scared of needles, but I WAS scared of feeling faint afterwards. Unfortunately I got so worked up and anxious that I actually did feel that way, probably mainly from anxiety. How I did it: Gradually. Realise that everyone looks a bit silly dancing, but that it's also fun to not be serious all the time. Realise that people who looks inhibited dancing look more silly than those who go for it. It's an all or nothing thing. But nothing is not an option, so practice in your room. Read how I did it…
How I did it: If you can, look in local papers, charity shops and maybe even Freecycle to see whether you can get a second hand bike. I got mine from a great recycling charity, where there is a dedicated bike man who repairs the bikes that have been donated - those that are un-road-worthy are used for scraps etc. If you get a bike second hand it's worth getting it checked by someone who knows about bikes - even if this is fora small fee. I was reading something on the internet about digital photos… how some of the charm is lost compared to using film where ‘imperfect’ shots still come out in physical form.. unlike using digital where they’re weeded out.
In addition, it’s worrying to think that years of un-printed digital pictures could be lost with a computer crash or virus. This has been one of my goals for a long time, and having completed my biking goal I’m ready for another concrete challenge, unlike the wishy-washy ‘become a better person’ style goals. So I think I’ll use a bit of money each month or so to slowly go through my picture files and get physical copies made.
I used my machine for the first time today to take up a dress. I got it I think last summer for £1 from a charity shop. It fits perfectly but was too long for my 5’3” frame.. almost floor length! So an hour or so ago I hacked the bottom off to about knee length and proceeded to sew them hem up. So satisfying to go to a party [casual house party but still] wearing an outfit where the main component only cost £1 and 15 minutes of alteration.
