Witness the end of analog TV
the end of analog... sorta.. 5 months ago

sorta because there are is still low power, nightlight mode stations (for a few weeks), and the occasional Canadian station.

at 10 AM most of the analogs here went dark. at midnight, the rest of them except the ones noted above also went dark.

most of the shutoffs were nothing fancy but WJW Cleveland showed a technician shutting off the analog signal at 10 AMhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5wYWsfxPwM

also, WVIZ played music for the last hour before shutting off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3H-lxcoILew

I was able to pick up some DX on the final day which was nice. Stations were skipping from all over but the only one I could identify was WBRZ TV-2, Baton Rouge. 800 some miles away.

That aspect of analog I will really miss, watching stations fade in and out and trying to figure out where it is from. DTV isn’t quite the same.

Play atari

so My dad was going through some old stuff in his basement and he told me he had my old Atari 2600, asked me if I wanted it. I said sure I want it and I had thought he had thrown it out a long time ago.

So I take it home just to seeif it still works or not, it does! I have about 15 games for it and tend on getting more on ebay. :) brought back a lot of memories!
