How I did it: Earlier this year, I had felt overwhelmed by a lot of things that I felt were beyond my control. I felt that I had no direction in my life, I was extremely unhappy, and my negative attitude and self-talk were making things worse. My intention was to become unstuck and reduce stress.I found my old college text book on managing stress and chose to take a suggestion from the epilogue of the book in creating my own stress management program.Ta… Read how I did it…
Rolled up my sleeves and got to work for the past couple of days.
Donation, garage sales, toss it out, etc.
I’m glad to clear out things I know I’ll never use or wear.
I caught myself feeling agitated and anxious today after I got a phone call from work to cover something. The word “no” seems to be an alien concept to certain people.
The only appropriate thing I can do is go to work and just get it over with. If I look at it another way, at least I can put food on the table. I just have to remind myself that I have a job, but I am not my job. But certain people disagree…
It’s because of moments like these that I am glad that I can pause and reflect on what got me so flustered in the first place and make a new choice. Got to keep my emotions in check.
