I have a project studio and do a fair amount of live concert sound and live recording, as a side interest. for a long time I seemed to be stuck – the studio was half built, the non-studio stuff was still there because I hadn’t figured out where it should go or why it should not be tossed, and my studio ended up a rubble room where I have to climb over stuff to get anything done.
This isn’t that hard, really. But why is NOTHING finished? I even have the room half painted!
A friend passed away unexpectedly recently (he was a member here – Dafduc) and we’re beginning to realize how much of a musical legacy this man left the world. It’s been kind of a kick in the pants for me, so I seem to need to go back into the studio and work. That’s a good thing… now for the next thing on the project list.
Last night I worked on an edit of a tune for a live album I recorded and am producing for a friend who has a bluegrass band. It needs a little more bass perhaps, but these guys sure know how to have fun on a stage and it comes out in the draft cuts for the album.
