I believe innumerable futures are destroyed every instant of existence. We have one past and seemingly only one destination. Practically, in our own endearing and limited way, this is the only way we can envisage life. To say more would be useless, to all intents and purposes. By sitting here and writing this, I destroy all of the futures in which I didn’t sit here and write this. But, in doing so, I create something which serves as a reminder of the time I was provoked to think about destroying the future. That single past, the only past, has been in some small way saved.
I also believe that belief is the single most powerful force in the universe, but that’s another story.
I’m in a similar position to Mr. Chang below, having just made up my mind that this is something I really want to do and outlined characters and a plot (which also coincidentally involves Norse mythology and a dark-futurish element). The problem for me is getting artists involved without the resources to compensate them for their efforts.
A great site to go to to contact artists and generally for inspiration is www.conceptart.org . I particularly enjoy their Character Of The Week competition. You can see they’re really honing their skills there, which is great to see in practice.
Alas, it seems no dough, no way. If there are ANY artists or writers out there interested in collaborating, please feel free to let me know. I’m from London, you may have to keep that in mind.
