Location: formerly known as Pleasant Island, is an island nation in Micronesia in the South Pacific. Its nearest neighbor is Banaba Island in Kiribati. It is the world’s smallest island nation, covering just 21 square kilometers.
Geography: There are only about 60 recorded vascular plant species native to the island, none of which are endemic.
Capital: No official capital.
Interesting fact: From December 2005 to September 2006, Nauru became partially isolated from the outside world when Air Nauru, the only airline with service to the island, ceased to operate. (The only outside access to Nauru was then by ocean-going ships).

History: It became independent from New Zealand in 1962
Location: Samoa consists of the two large islands of Upolu and Savai’i and seven small islets located about halfway between Hawaii and New Zealand in the Polynesian region of the South Pacific.
Geology: The Samoan islands have been produced by vulcanism.
Culture: Samoans have two gender specific and culturally significant tattoos. For males, it is called the Pe’a and consists of intricate and geometrical patterns tattooed that cover areas from the knees up towards the ribs. A Samoan girl or teine is given a malu, which covers the area from just below her knees to her upper thighs.
Livelihood: The Samoans have a communal way of life with little privacy. They do almost all their activities collectively.
Interesting fact: On September 7, 2009 Samoa made history by becoming the first country since the 1970s to switch the driving side of the roads from right to left, after three of the biggest, most peaceful protest marches in Samoa’s history and an unsuccessful lawsuit against the government to stop the switch and/or delay the date of implementation.

I wish 43things could automatically justify our entries when we click “Save this entry”. I hate to see those jagged lines, especially in a long post. Also the capital letters in our goals. I know it’s because someone made the goal and entered it like that, but I should be able to change the first letter of a goal from common to capital and not have it change into an entirely different goal. Maybe I’m being too “Virgo” but it’s bothering me.
