Hooray! A new venue has been found and a new date set for January 31st. I’ve finally got a copy of the music and my friend and I have begun designs for my costume. Woot.

How I did it: I got them all on videotape from a friend of a friend who was kind enough to have taped them all in order and edited out the commercials. My boyfriend at the time and I watched a couple of episodes a day until they were all gone. Then we had to watch Fire Walk With Me too. David Lynch is a cruel, cruel man I think. (Full of secrets.) How I did it: I hung around in the kitchen with my grandmother and mother, both of whom are great cooks. I always helped out with the cooking for big family events and learned most of what I needed to know that way. The rest I got from watching cooking shows and, as with most things, practice, practice, practice. Read how I did it…
Due to a problem with the venue, the Student Showcase has been postponed until after the holidays. I’m still going to do it. This will give us all a bit more time to practice and work on our costumes. It’s all good.
I live in an appartment, so space is at a minimum. My front windows get great sun though, so I’m growing potted herbs there and putting them on most everything I cook. So far I’ve got basil, parsley, and lavender growing beautifully and a cilantro plant that’s struggling bravely along.
