I was most happy to find this book in the local library, as it was on my list of books with lists to read.
The book is a lot like the Molvania http://tropikiwi.typepad.com/great_adventures_of_a_gre/2007/09/molvania.html book. Only real difference is that this book lists real places while Molvania is just completely invented by some humorous ingenious demented minds.
It was just easy amusing reading not to be taken at all seriously.
My former city of residence in NZ didn’t even get a mention. I am sure that John Cleese will be very upset at the city’s snub as he has declared it to be the suicide capital. A fact I now must tell everyone whenever they ask where I am from.
The book failed to diminish any of my desire to see the world so I do of course plan to go to many of the places listed.
There was a travel expo here and I went and got me a whole armful of brochures for European tours.
I was thinking of starting my European experience with an escapade doing one of those cheap camping trips where you see like 20 countries in 7 weeks.
I was thinking that if I did that first then I could see where I like and go back.
Plus if I couldn’t find a job and ran out of money at least I would have seen Europe. Europe as we sped by on a bus, but it still counts!
I have been told that the Contiki tours are fun and not really naff. Although one guy who I mentioned it to was like oh no you lose your virginity on those trips and told me how he didn’t want to lose his. I was most amused and pointed out that I didn’t think anyone was gonna hold him down and take it. He does have free choice! Ah Christians, so afraid of corruption…
But anyway these tours only run in the summer (it is camping after all) and my plan is to go in October. So I would either have to change the plan or wait in London until the next summer to go.

I shall make a new years resolution. I think that the whole health/fitness thing is a bit overdone so I might just make one plain goal like (finally!) learning to juggle.
I bought some juggling balls coz I found them cheap in the local shop in Alice Springs.
So far their biggest adventure was not long after I got them when I left them on the coffee table then went to bed.
The dog thought that they were a new toy for him. When I woke up the balls were gone. I found two of them in the backyard.
Was so frustrating trying to find the last one. I asked the dog where he had put it but he wouldn’t help me find it.
Eventually I found it behind the bar fridge.
So anyway the balls have not done much since. But I still have them and really should put them to good use!
So my resolution will to be to at least learn the basics of juggling. I don’t think I could play with balls like this guy! http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=UrR-aqI2jvE
I finally got a skin from www.decalgirl.com
Then I was just slack about putting it on, I felt that I would need lots of hands to help.
But finally did it tonight with only one person to help.
Well I got him to do most of the work and it’s so pretty!
I didn’t get a shag but I got a sweet lappy!
