It was October of 2005 and I met my boyfriend (now husband) in New York City. We ate at Tavern on the Green and walked Central Park. It was rainy and cold but it was one of the most romantic moments of my life.

How I did it: I did it through work. I teach adults and many of them had bad experiences in high school the first time around and are back to try again. It was tough at first to convince them that a book club is beneficial for them and their program. But I coaxed them into attending with a scary murder book. I only had 6 people attend the 1st session and we read The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Alan Poe but it went really well. … Read how I did it…
Currahee is a mountain in South Georgia. It’s 3 miles up and 3 miles down. I’ve driven up it but really want to hike it like the WWII soldiers did during their basic training. It’ll take me 1/2 a day to do it but I think I can.
I want to be a better person for myself, obviously, but to be an example for other’s around me. Just think how much better this world would be if everyone just tried to be better people.
