I was reading this book that said you should start a 2 year plan before opening any business. So, last night, I started my 2 year plan. I was scared and happy and anxious all at the same time. Will it work, can I do it, what to name it? Even fun things like that are a little overwhelming right now. I copied the outline and need to ask myself simple questions like who do I want to cater too? What are the risks? Is there a market? What do I not want to happen as well as happen? Things that seem so small, but need to be thought of all the same. I was just thinking its probably not coincidental that Im reading “Living a life that matters” by Rabbi Kushner, but I swear I didnt plan it that way.
Im all rogue on the work internet and Im sure they are closing in on me so I better jet. More later…

How I did it: I had to wonder if I didnt have more friends because I chose to be that way or if I was truly a non likable person. More and more I came to the realization that I like to be alone and sometimes its hard to put up with other peoples quirks, dramas, problems, etc. But with friends, you realize that most of the time, the times are good, peaceful and worth whatever comes your way. How people relate to you is how you relate t… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I worked at it and worked at it and worked at. I still work at it. When i walk, I throw in runs. Sometimes it moves me and I accept it and Gump it out. Most of the time, I power walk. Im a walker. No shame in that. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I always felt terrible because I thought, who does this?! People who want to be sane thats who. My family is toxic. Not all of them. I actually like one or two of them, but as a whole, I had to be ok with walking away and admitting to myself and others that they arent good for me.Cut back on time I spent with and then time I spoke with them. The key was not being sucked back into the drama when they made some… Read how I did it…

I thought I added this, but ended up posting an update under another goal “open a soup kitchen”. Stupid job I have now I cant get onto the internet so I have forgotten everything and feel out of touch.
Anyway, I made the flyer, this is it above but I need to make changes because the last agency finally got back to me and there are 3 I am collecting for instead of 2. Friends of Night People and Response to Love Center feed the hungry and homeless while the Benedict House is a housing agency that has a building with 20 units with a common kitchen, family room (its like a big mansion, its GORGEOUS) where people with AIDS can get off the streets. I LOVE this agency. They are the ones that I donated the pig to and every year they are added to the list because they have a Thanksgiving dinner for the members and their families. The staff is amazing and Bella, who is in charge of their volunteers, is down to earth and funny. We usually drop off 4 or 5 pies and a bunch of cookies and brownies. Its only around 50 people, so they are easy to accomodate.
So anyway, here is the flyer. Im so proud of it. I know no one lives around here, but I hope it inspires you to make a batch of cookies or a pie and drop it off someplace feeding other people for the holiday. Youd be surprised how it makes you feel.
Blessed holiday to everyone. I miss you guys a lot.

Ive been taking books out of the library to help me figure out how to do this but they havent gotten me anywhere. I have been looking at books on how to start a non profit agency when maybe I should start with the basics like “how to open my own business”. Once those basic fundamentals are down, then move on to opening a non profit. All I know is that while working on the flyer for the baked good food drive I do every year for agencies that feed the hungry, my heart swells and I smile and cry at the same time. I want it so bad but cannot even think about having NO income at all. So, small steps. Even small steps will get you to where you want to go more than standing still.
So, I thought I had this goal on already, but I quit my last job and now work for the man. They monitor computer use and I cant get on the internet. Its been sad being gone, but I guess theres more to talk about. Here is my flyer by the way. I am collecting baked goods for 3 agencies (I know it says 2, but the last agency got back to me yesterday and I am redoing the flyer today) so that hungry and homeless people can have a nice homemade baked good dessert on Thanksgiving like everyone else. Im sure its hard to walk into a place you never thought youd end up, I can try to add a little comfort and love to that eye opening experience. If youre in the Buffalo, NY area, I hope you consider it. If not, I hope you think about it for your area.
