get ready for work the night before (read all 4 entries…)
what a difference this makes!

My partner and I started on this goal this week. Each night we iron our clothes, pack our lunch and get our bags ready to go for the following day. It means we get to sleep in each morning for an extra 20 minutes. Which really counts when you’re getting up at 5am.

Very happy we are doing this. Now we just have to stick to the routine.

Olafur Eliasson: Take Your Time

is the first full-scale survey of projects by this contemporary Icelandic artist to have been presented in Australia. The exhibition spans Eliasson’s diverse range of artistic production from 1993 to the present, including installations, large-scale immersive environments, freestanding sculpture, and photography (from MCA website).

J and I caught this exhibition on the weekend. Just AMAZING!!!!!
Such beautiful use of colour and light.

ONE: Avatar (dir: James Cameron 2009)

I saw James Cameron’s Avatar over the weekend and loved it! Such a great cast and story and the 3d creation of Pandora is truly beautiful. Sam Worthington is just fantastic in the lead role.

read one book a month from my own collection (read all 4 entries…)
books, books, books

Just looking at my book case and realised that I haven’t read even half of the books I have purchased. I just can’t seem to leave a book store empty handed.

I have so many things that I want to read this year. Will try and read at least one book each month from my own bookshelf.

& I will try not to buy any more books until I have reached this goal.

this is a fun goal to have:

I just purchased three things from ebay:

FCUK top, melon with green trim and beading. Paid $15 worth $80. Thank you very much :)

PURR Tshirt, green with white writing. just $10

Laddak shirt, black (one day I dream of not wearing black clothes to work). $8 – total bargain

So I am on my way.

have an adventure
this goal just popped up as a 'other people are doing this'

on my 43 things. sounds like a lot of fun – so I am going to borrow this goal.

get organised (read all 3 entries…)
Be careful what you wish for...

I’ve just started in a new positon at work and I am learning very quickly that I need to be very organised to stay on top of my caseload.

I have started organising my filing, email, resources etc and it is a bit of a buzz to be staying on top of things.

One of the big lessons that I have learned recently is the importance of not putting off until later what I can do right now. It makes such a difference when you don’t have a pile of work (usually the jobs you don’t want to do at all) to face each day.

So I am practicing saying yes and getting to the task straight away.

this is going to be a good year :)

Further My Education (read all 2 entries…)
Enrolled this week in a University Preparation course this week...

Art in Theory: Western Civilization.

Really very nervous now! I haven’t studied for such a long time and I was never that great at essay writing when I was in high school.

What I hope to achieve with this course is simply this:

I would like to:-

to improve my writing skills
see the course through to the end-no matter what.
build my self confidence.

I hope I can go the distance this time and not give up at the half way mark – like I am so often inclined to do.

wish me luck!
