I went with a friend to get my “starter” tattoo. I eventually want a large back piece done, but needed to see if I could handle the pain. It is on the inside of my left wrist, and honestly only stung a little bit! It burned some, but they said that was because of the area and the tendons being so close to the skin. It looks amazing, and healed really quickly. I can’t wait to get my next one!

How I did it: I began a blog several months ago. My original one was to manage my feelings from something bad that happened in my marriage. My renewed blog, when Blogger failed me, was to start over on Wordpress. It is pretty awesome. It has good templates, and I have been inspired to write something almost every single day since April 8th. I feel I have completed this goal because in addition to making me write more blog posts, I have started writing … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I replaced all negative comments in my head with a positive one. I made myself look in the mirror and every time I thought something bad; I made myself stand there until I apologized and said something nice. I started treating myself the way I treat my close friends; with respect.Sometimes it is easier than others, and I still backslide some days. I just move forward, tell myself it's all good, tomorrow is another day.By doing this I have… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I applied for jobs at my local library off and on for about two years before I was hired as a substitute employee. I could have volunteered but didn't have the free time.I started working at the library as a substitute, so I could learn the ropes for the bottom level position I kept applying for. I eventually plan to have a Master’s in Library Science, and knew that getting experience in my chosen field would help when it came time to … Read how I did it…

I have forgiven the most important thing I needed to get over. I am still working on forgetting and filing it in the proper place so it doesn’t bother me on a daily basis. It gets easier with time. But I have made my peace with what happened; told the person I forgive them; and have moved on to a happier, safer place.
Still in progress. This is one that has to be completed in stages.
I submitted it to a National Poetry Competition and it was selected. I want to do it again, though, so I’ll let you know how it works out!
