I think six weeks means I’ve given up the shampoo for good, so I’ll call this one completed. Very, very worth it. My hair is healthier and softer than it’s been in years, and it doesn’t get greasy nearly as fast. And it’s so curly! About once a week I use a brown sugar and conditioner mixture, and have just started to add the baking soda mix into my routine.

This is something I’m sorry I didn’t do years ago. I highly recommend it.

I’ve decided to stop torturing my naturally curly hair by shampooing it with all those harsh detergents (among other things). From here on out, I’m sticking with moisturizing conditioners and “natural” ingredients. So far it’s been working – my hair is much curlier than I’d previously suspected – although it is taking some time to get used to no shampoo. I keep wanting to just pick up the shampoo bottle, but I’m trying to refrain.
