How can travel properly be defined for this goal? For, I travel to and from work every day, but the sense of travel is at a higher level then this. I want to be bold, and venture to foreign lands. Recently, I took a 6 hour flight to Arizona and to me—-that was travel. Baby steps for me. Six months ago, I had too many fears about taking that trip alone and never would have done it. That is why it was on my list. But now, I have done it, and it was not as scary as I might have expected. In fact, it was a feeling of freedom and immediately brought me to the point of great boldness where I want no limitations on where to go, the fear is gone, the yearning is there, the wanderlust is taking control to set the bar even higher. Arizona, was the beginning, but now, now the rest of the world is waiting.

To what degree of fluency must one achieve before they can check “Learn another language” of their 43things list? I can’t confirm, but I am pleased to say I am checking it off mine! I finished a semester at the Univerisity learning German. I am far from being fluent, but the simple fact that I know a few words and phrases and recognize words and pronunciation is enough for me, because I did in fact learn some of another language. For, even if I had only learned a single word it would be more than I knew before. I can’t hold a conversation in German, but things happen in baby steps. I’ve wanted to learn another language for a long time, and as far as I’m concerned learning something is better than learning nothing. I am one step closer to the ultimate and glorious finish line, no matter how long a time it may take.
Well, I wish I knew enough about cameras to get a fancy one with a big professional looking lens. I think it just looks cool seeing people add on the lens, put the big strap around their neck, position themselves just right to get the proper lighting, and all take photos to perfection…but I’m just a point and shoot girl at this point. Having a digital camera is great. I carry it in my bag with me everyday in case some random photo opportunity presents itself. Is just fun. Now, I just need to learn some technique!
