I’m an extremely sedentary person. Not overweight, I just don’t do much except sit in front of some sort of screen all day. About a month ago, I got sick of pulling muscles just from doing mundane everyday tasks. I decided to do the Couch to 5K plan, and do some light strength training on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I’ve been doing good so far, and I can definitely notice a difference in my physical appearance as well as my performance in day-to-day activities. Once I can do a good amount of pull-ups, I’ll check this one off :)

How I did it: I searched for a local planetarium using Google Maps, found the nearest one and followed the link to their website. They had information on public programs, which were offered every Friday at 8:30 pm. This month's show was 'To the Moon and Back', which obviously featured our nearest celestial body, Luna.In all, it lasted a little over two hours. First, the director lectured briefly on constellations, then we delve… Read how I did it…
I started getting serious about this goal a month ago. Surprisingly, it’s been very easy for me. The problems come with the rest of the family’s resistance to change. As a result, there are 3 different jugs of 3 different kinds of milk in the fridge. Whole for the kids, skim for me, 2% for everyone else.
I believe what makes it easy for me to stick with this is that I put more time into making creative meals and eating more exotic foods. I no longer eat the same boring foods day in and day out. My first trip to the store I splurged on a bunch of crazy fruits, like kiwanos, cherimoya, ugli, and prickly pears. I ate eggplant for the first time in my life. Ratatouille has become one of my favorite dishes. I actually like fish these days. Food is good.
Wow, I just finished TEotW several minutes ago. I can tell why my brother loved this series so much; even I’m getting obsessed!
The first hundred pages or so were a bit dull and I read only a couple chapters per week, but once it picked up I read over 100 pages per day! The chapter Shadow’s Waiting was quite honestly the most perfect piece of literature I’ve ever read. Jordan was a one of a kind writer and I look forward to spending many hours and many days immersed in his world.
