Haven't written much about this...

since cheese boy – because, let’s face it – that turned out to be a disaster, but things might just be changing.
Went for drinks with a friend of a friend who’s just moved back to town and had a really good night. Was great to kick back with a few beers and good music (what is it about irish pubs???) and relax after a long week. We’ve now come up with the Pub Challenge… in our endeavours to meet new people, we are going to try going for drinks at a new place every fortnight – something to look forward to, and we are bound to meet some new and interesting people.
The other thing I realised is that I have some great friends already, and maybe I wasn’t always such a great friend in the past because I devoted so much time to such a bad relationship and trying to make it work, and because he was so possessive and insecure, I neglected those friends close to me. Anyway this realisation means making more of an effort to be a better and more supportive friend.
PS And I won a meat tray and a six-pack at the pub!
