I recently had a photograph of mine accepted for a gallery show in August. That’s, of course, fantastic news and rather unexpected (I’m used to “gee, it’s nice, but…”). Which means I’ve been scrambling to get prints made, get mats and a frame for the gallery—all in after-office hours. That doesn’t leave me much time.
So, it’s time to take this seriously, if I want my photography to go anwhere. I need to find my best images and either make a series of prints or have them done and add them to my portfolio. Also, I must have some frames available to bung photos into, plus the shrinkwrap/baggies for matted, unframed prints, etc.
A bit of prep work, and the next time my work is accepted, I’ll be ready to roll!
