I haven’t used 43 things in a few years so I couldn’t help but laugh at myself when I saw that this used to be a really big goal to me!

I trained up to 12 miles last fall, so I have definitely done a full mile.

I have to say though that it is nice to look back at when it meant so much to me and I was so determined to just run 1 mile to be able to see how far I have come. :)

Hurley!

Two years ago another dog came into my life. I had one dog growing up; Peanut. We had her from the time I was in first grade until my Junior year of college. It was a long time before I was ready to have another dog.

I started looking around for Pomeranians (because that’s what Peanut was). I couldn’t find any at a shelter, but that was what I wanted. So I started looking at breeders after about 18 months of searching. Then on a Pomeranian breeder site I found Hurley, a shih tzu. I fell in love with him immediately. His personality was obvious in his photo on the website. When I called the lady said he had already been claimed.

I was pretty upset because he was the first dog in several years that I had even flirted with the idea of bringing home. The lady called the next day because she did not like the people who wanted him! We brought him home and he has been my best friend ever since.

I forgot to make an entry for this, but a few months ago we saw Mitch Fatel at Zanies. He was even funnier than I thought he would be. The only time I had ever seen him before was a three minute segment on a dvd about a year ago but we took a chance and he was hilarious! His openers sucked though.
