I’ve been vegan for about three months now after having been vegetarian for over a year. So far it’s been really good and I’m really glad I stopped hesitating and just went for it; it’s really not as hard and not as big of a deal as people want to make it out to be. Once you get in the hang of things, any mess-ups become few and far between. You have to make sure you get a good variety of foods (rather that just eating nothing but bread/pasta/starchy carbs) and possibly take vitamins but beyond that I think you’re fine.
I was able to go for 10 days with my highschool choir; every moment was beautiful and the best day of my life was the day I spent lost in Venice. Guided tours are nice but if you go, be sure to get some aimless wandering in there. I would go back in a heartbeat.
