I am 5’5’’, 17 years old, and nearly 200lbs. That’s no good. It’s not normal and it’s not healthy. According to this BMI calculator, 145 is a normal weight for someone my height. Thus, if I can lose 50lbs, I’ll fit into the normal/healthy category. I am really concerned about my health but (as a 17 year old girl), yes, I also want to lose weight for vanity purposes. In the past I’ve lost as much as 20lbs, but somehow I crashed and put it back on. The most I’ve ever weighed, I think, is somewhere between 205 and 215lbs? I’ve seen pictures of myself from the past, and I look a lot better now than I did then! But there’s still A LOT of work to be done.
I guess I’m hoping that putting this information ‘out there’ for people to see will give me more motivation. Weight is a touchy subject for me – probably for everyone – and I’m too embarrassed to tell anyone about it. But there it is, and now I’m going to change it.
