Letting Go of Control

I had this belief as a child that if I didn’t control my life, I would die. I believed I was in control and that I needed to stay vigilant. That is not true.
We are going to die, that is true.
We are not in charge, that is true.
And when we let go and literally surrender to the Universe, wow! Now that’s a ride.
I don’t know what’s going to happen today, tomorrow or in 50 years. And it’s true, one day will be my last. But I would rather let go and see where the wind blows, then standing strong against that same wind, and, ultimately, breaking in half.
