We actually just realized that soon the boys would be old enough to watch after themselves, even for days at a time.
The oldest will be legal in the fall.
So we can actually start taking this dream seriously!!
Today I know I laughed.
Got one of our scouts laughing pretty hard because he was the only one in the den who did no chores!
We kept asking him …
Do you take out the garbage?
NoDo you do your laundry?
NoDo you mow the lawn?
NoDo you clean your room?
NoDo you help with the dishes?
Well, I put my own dishes in the sink ......
It was a long list, and he’s pretty pampered. Nice to know for once my kid isn’t the pampered one. :-)
So we refied the house over the holidays, paid off all the cards, and my car. And left us with a very nice emergency fund in the bank.
Unfortunately, whenever you have money, you find things that ‘really have’ to happen. Class trips, and summer school classes in this case.
Must talk about this.
