adopt a pet bassett hound
A pet of my own 3 years ago

I grew up in a family with 7 cats and one dog [and 5 kids, but that’s another story]. Then the dog died and we replaced him with four more cats and two more dogs, not to mention various fish, lizards, a snake and a parakeet. But these pets were always the family’s or my brother’s [which he would bring home against my mother’s wishes and she’d be forced to keep the pet because she’s too nice to say ‘no’ when it comes to cuddly things].

I want a bassett hound because I think they’re adorable and I’ve read online that their personalities are sweet, though they’re apparently hard to train.
