I'm doing 37 things
Just finished the first course over the summer, and ASL is more fun to learn than i expected! I think since i am a more visual person, the visual signs atre much easier to remember and use than vocab for a spoken language (i took Latin for 5 years and pretty much don’t remember a thing).
For anyone out there debating about taking sign language, TAKE IT! it is rewarding, interesting, and to tell you the truth, I feel like a secret ninja because i can “eyes drop” (instead of eavesdrop) on people across the room if they are signing (its considered rude, but i just do it to my friends to be funny, they don’t mind) :) or you can talk to people farther than yelling distance… pretty sweet, huh?!
But really, i have fallen in love with sign language and the culture- i’ve already signed up for the second course! <3
