I went to Bonnaroo this past summer and it was AMAZING. Loved the entire experience. We were rained on pretty badly our first night camping, though the rest of the time we had sun and warm weather. If you are looking for the experience of a lifetime, take the trip to Tennesee this summer and have a wonderful memory not to be forgotten. :] (Not to mention they had delicious food vendors there; I was stuffing my face with a mexican Arepas in this photo. YUM!)

How I did it: I had decided that I needed to do more to give back to the community and made the decision to join the bone marrow donor registry with the National Marrow Donor Program. It only takes about 10-15 minutes time to complete the questionnaire, which at completion, a tissue typing test is sent to you by mail. Once received, swab each corner of your mouth with the 4 swabs provided and mail out. Simple as that. :]I may never need to donate my bo… Read how I did it…
For Fu Manchu!! Super cute, super awesome, and he knows kung fu. I rescued him from my grandparent’s steel shop in rural Pennsylvania this past Thanksgiving. He was at a young enough age where he had not yet turned feral and was nearly always craving human contact from the workers at the shop.
Mrroow!
Haven’t updated in a while… I have been fostering for an animal rescue organization in Alexandria, VA and have been taking care of a senior cat named Tiffany for almost two years now. She doesn’t do very well at adoption events so I am really only able to promote her by way of internet. She has really come a long way since the day I first brought her home. (She was originally pulled from a rural high kill shelter in West Virginia and had been abused in her previous home.) Honestly, why even entertain the thought of caring for an animal when your intentions are not well? Hmph…
Tiffany is living a happy and healthy life with me, for as long as need be, until she finds her forever home.
Also, as a side note, I can’t even begin to tell you how great it feels to assist in rehoming animals that otherwise wouldn’t be given a second chance. Just because they can’t tell you thank you doesn’t mean they aren’t thinking it. :]
