I found more than a quartet worth of lapsed flute players in my neighborhood. One found a four part song set and we practiced each week for a month, culminating in a performance before a hundred or more people at a neighborhood picnic this month. I just played, and kept up with my quartet, but had no idea how it went until the audience was applauding and cheering! Keep up with your goals, and the answer will come to you.

My teacher is as young as my eldest daughter, and I’m nervous about meeting her on the day of lessons. But the most positive thing is the lesson is a promise to practice every day, even if only a few minutes. That way the tune I’m learning floats through my mind every day too.
