I’ve planted herbs for years and had success with everything except keeping rosemary over a winter. I especially love basil, by the end of the summer it’s tall and warm breezes waft that intense scent over the deck nearby. I have mint and thyme and oregano, lemon balm, sage, lavender, patchouli, dill, coriander, and parsley. I highly recommend sage, it’s easy to grow. Lemon balm is a bit invasive, but I cut it to go with flowers because it smells so lovely.
