Because I’ve been inactive for so long, and I dislike even the thought of exercise in a conventional sense, I decided my first fitness goal would be to just get moving. My goal is to do something, anything, for 30 minutes every single day.
It can be cleaning the kitchen, scrubbing the tub, walking for leisure, or shopping. Anything that gets me moving consistently for 30 minutes. So far, this plan has worked for me. It takes some of the pressure off, and it has allowed me to progress into doing things I haven’t done for a long time.
For example, I recently walked for 2 hours around Wally World. A month ago this would have been impossible. It’s a step in the right direction.

Pretty Paper

I love letters. Old ones. New ones. Letters from people I don’t know to other people I don’t know. Letters written to me, and letters from me. I enjoy letters because they help tell the stories of life. I’ve been known to purchase old letters and diaries from E-Bay. At one point in my life, I had around 30 people I wrote to on a consistent basis.
Life changed, and I went through a major writing funk. In an attempt to get back to something I find enjoyable, I took the first step and purchased some pretty note cards. At first, I’m focusing on getting back in tough with family and close friends. I then plan to branch out and try my hand at pen palling again. While I don’t want 30 people again, I wouldn’t mind having a handful of people I can keep in touch with via the inky trail.

I decided to make some changes in my eating and exercise habits a few months ago. I decided I didn’t want to diet. I know diets do not work for the long term. So, I did my research and made plans to change my life. I have a great deal of weight to lose, so I know it’s going to take time. It’s easier to break my main goal into smaller goals.
I’ve already removed 14 pounds of the 60 I am pushing for right now. So, I have 46 more pounds to remove before I can call this goal complete and move on to the next one.
So far… so good.
