I’m seriously considering going to Japan as an English teacher for a year. Still researching my options.

How I did it: I met someone at a New Years Eve party the beginning of this year. She was a very eccentric person, and knew a lot of people. I met a lot of people with her while we hung out together. She helped me get back on my feet and looking for opportunities to meet people. She moved to California in February, but I kept on meeting new people, through theatre groups, or traveling, or ona plane, whatever worked at the time. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Persistance. I kept listing the car, showing it to people who turned out to be deadbeats, and kept telling everyone I talked to, any chance I got that I was selling my car. Since it is a small sports car, normally used as only a weekend car, most people now just don't have the spare cash for such a car. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was showing some drawings to a local art store, when they recommended I draw some tattoo's. They actually wanted some of the drawings I already had for tattoo designs! I photocopied them, and brought them back.I don't want a tattoo, but somebody out there has my drawing on their arm, stomach, back or elsewhere. :) Read how I did it…

I was REALLY close to accomplishing this dream. Financial hardship in my family kept me from doing it though. Hopefully I’ll get another chance in the near future.
I know what I need to do, I need to move. I just don’t know where yet. I just don’t get along with most of the people I meet around here, and the few times I do, they want to move as badly as I do, and they usually make it out. I have some places in mind, I just need to find a job in those places in order to make that move.
