you just have to look around and see what you can change. Even if it is just a little at a time, it all goes a long way. Every few months my hubby and I review what we have been doing and see what we can tweek. We’ve saved so much money by doing this and help the planet at the same time.
This fall and every year, we get the furnace checked, ducts cleaned (every other year), dryer duct cleaned or replaced and other big home winterizing things done. All of our water pipes are insulated and we have outdoor faucet covers to protect from the outside. These also help keep cold out of the house and pipes. We’ve sealed most cracks and holes, and insulation has been updated. Windows recaulked, cleaned and painted.
