“Now” was sometime earlier this week, either Monday, or, I suspect, Wednesday, although I was doing this on Tuesday. BUT tonight I totally failed it. I came home from a party, where I ate dessert already, and ate more pumpkin pie by myself. This is what I don’t want to do! So, now, “now” will be from 12/12. Or should I be such a perfectionist?!?

How I did it: I can't really explain how I did this. I just did it, and now I'm not doing it. I want to do it regularly, to really want to do it instead of inwardly always rebelling against it. I feel fat now. Read how I did it…
How I did it: This is more what did I do. I made a list of all the goals I wanted to accomplish over the spring break. This helped me to realize that I had more goals than time, so I chose one main goal to concentrate on. I never actually pencilled in people time, but I made myself go over and help a friend pack up to move a couple of times, which was very rewarding and the right thing to do. And one day someone called me to go out looking at cherr… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I tried Word Twist on Facebook, and went Tetris and Mahjongg went out the door like lovers who have grown old faster than you have. I've been through my standard fare of deleting and reinstalling Word Twist several times, have moved on to Word Challenge and Geo Challenge. So basically it was the expulsive power of a new affection - or, addiction - that did it for me. Read how I did it…

I seem to be very susceptible to becoming addicted to solitaire card games as well as some other games (Mahjongg and Tetris) when I play on the computer. I love to have my laptop open on my lap and be doing something with it. Somehow when I’m playing games I can concentrate well and at the time it feels like I’m doing something really important. But – it can go on for hours and hours! Into the night! Which really wrecks me for my daily life! And when I finally can pull myself away, and go to bed, say around 3 or even close to 5 (like last night) – it all seems so foolish! I want to be free of this! Take it or leave it like I’ve learned to do with Freecell.
