Finally, “got a piece of the rock,” as my friend Annie put it. Closed on June 3rd, 2005. Wasn’t able to move back to Portland right away so I rented it out. I just moved in 2 weeks ago and have begun renovating already. It will be a long series of projects…
I hadn’t been back in 30 years…was great to re-connect with so many cousins, uncles, aunts etc. They were very patient with my very pathetic Spanish.
