Outside beauty is definitely an asset, but I am more concerned with inner beauty. I am working toward self-awareness, peace and comfort with my own self before I worry about what other people think my outsides look like. Once I have inner beauty, the outside beauty won’t matter.

I seem to be always reacting to the world from an outside perspective. I want to stop worrying about how I am impacting other people and start living by how the world impacts me. I want to live by what’s best for me instead of how can I best avoid being a bother, a hindrance or a problem to anyone else. Nobody else seems to put my needs first. I need to do it myself.
I know makeup could help, but just don’t know how to use it. It seems like when I put it on, I either look like a street walker or like I don’t have on any makeup (if so, what’s the use). I see people on What Not To Wear who go from plain to great in five minutes. But I just don’t have a clear picture of what to buy or how to put it on. I do use eyeliner most days, but I don’t think it helps much. I use mascara occasionally, but I always seem to rub my eyes and it comes off. Besides, it doesn’t make me look much better. I especially want to get rid of these dark circles, but no makeup counter has made me look like anything but someone wearing white under their eyes.
