I’ve finally started this.
I’m keeping a journal of my nightly adventures I have running this backwoods bar. I have some down time after we close while the bartenders are counting down their tills and the floor staff is cleaning up. The adventures are rich and the act of writing in the journal is an added source of amusement and curiosity for my staff who steal suspicious glances at me as I smile to myself while recapping the nights events.

Well here’s he deal…
I got a call late one evening. (just after going to bed!) It was a friend I had asked to check on a bartending job at this bar she worked at part time. She told me that the lady that owned the bar wanted to meet me, and that she could see me at around 10:30pm that night. So I woke up a bit, got dressed and drove down to meet this lady.
About ten minutes into the interview, the lady that owns the bar tells me, what she is really looking for is someone to run the bar for her, and that she thinks I would be perfect! (I eventually did manage to pry my jaw from the floor)
We talked for a while about the business side of things. I told her I would be wiling to give it a try and we could both see how this works out for both of us. Two weeks later she tells me this is a permanent position if I want it, that I’m doing great by her, and what a huge relief it is to have someone responsible helping her.
I’ve been there for a month now…
My nights have become my days, and my days have become my nights. I have no intensions of giving up my day job, so I’m dealing with two full time jobs and the most bizarre sleep schedule I have ever had in my life…
This job is fulfilling three needs for me.
1 It’s providing me with a revenue stream to use solely for my investing ventures.
2 I’m getting not only bartending experience but, bar management experience!
3 It gets me out of the house and forces me to be social, when I normally wouldn’t be. To this end: I’ve met, danced, and partied with more beautiful women in the past month than in the whole two years I’ve been single!
Yay me! :)
