When I was young, you couldn’t get me to do anything unless I was watching a Disney film. You couldn’t get me to eat unless Snow White was playing, you couldn’t get me to clean unless I did so alongside Cinderella, I couldn’t bathe unless Gaston was falling into mud in Beauty and the Beast. I couldn’t sleep unless Sleeping Beauty played silently in the background. I was raised on Disney films… they were, somewhat, my best friends as a child. I am at that point in life where you aren’t sure WHAT you want to do… I love drawing but Computer Animation is too difficult for me… I love english but becoming an english teacher won’t fill my artistic void… So to escape the perils of everyday life, I went on a week vacation to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fl. During my escapades in Hollywood Studios (formerly known as MGM) I stumbled upon a Disney secret that changed my life forever. There is a show at Hollywood Studios, where it explains Disney animation and how it’s like behind the scenes. Afterward, you have the chance (if your patient) to meet a Disney Animator in training and draw a Disney character alongside him/her. Well as we piled into our seats the lessons began as I drew the outline for that loveable mouse step by step I knew it was love at first stroke. And as I filled in the facial features to bring my perfect replica of the Disney mascot Mickey Mouse to life…”Hey” I told myself “I can do this for the rest of my life…” and so the research began. There is a program specially made for Disney Animators, and I will do everything in my power to get accepted (which is just provide a portfolio and a an essay). I am still researching and will be movign to Orlando sometime in 2009 to be able to chase my dream with all my might. I won’t let this fall out of reach like so many other projects, I will follow through with this dream, I will find the end of this rainbow.

Well, this goal may seem a bit extreme…but when you aspire to become a GOOD Manga-Ka and create your own Anime one day, it’s not so extreme but necessary. I’ve hit my 150 milestone and hope, one day, to reach 1,000. 1,000 Anime series from every genre, every era, every mark of life. Some shows are going to be harder than others but I’m determined to make it… hah…determined… that’s a word I have been using a lot lately… but am I up for it?
I began belly dancing a few months ago (although I’m a hefty girl I do it for exercise purposes). I began a step by step video of certain belly dancing techniques that will help you slim down and shape up. Like so many of my other projects, the DVD is now sitting somewhere within my vast collection of movies collecting dust. This morning I removed it from its tomb and popped it in and began dancing again. Im hoping I can keep it up and look as beautiful as I once did…and be able to put on sexy costumes for halloween!
