Whew! The first year was rough! I don’t know how I managed to do so well, but thankful nonetheless. Up ahead, year 2, the most difficult year (traditionally) and part 1 of boards at the end of it. Well, here goes…
All the best to my fellow colleagues!
UPDATE
Year two is in the books! It was rough and I am now entering my 3rd year (D3). I just took part 1 of the National Boards Dental Exam, and it was the most difficult test I’ve taken in my life! All I can do now is trust in my God that I passed. This summer of my D3 year is perhaps THEE hardest quarter, because we will have the same load of classes with the addition of seeing patients. All the upper classmen give me the same response. Here goes!

Well, as I mentioned on my comment, without realizing it I had already accomplished this almost 2 years ago. I really thought it would be cool to do it in Florida’s east and west coasts, but missed my opportunity this past Sunday.
It will have to be some other time for Florida as I will be moving to California in a week. Cheers!

Teaching is an incredible experience, and everyone should do it at least once in their life! I taught Basic Life Support and Lifeguarding for over 6 years at a local water park, and taught Histology & Physiology labs for 1.5 years at the University of Central Florida.
If you really want to know your subject of interest, teach and you’ll learn it better than you ever imagined. Don’t forget the satisfaction! Seeing your students transform throughout the course, and your students thanking you genuinely for your instruction when it’s all said and done, really makes an impact on you.
