stop lying
I am pretty honest 4 months ago

I am usually pretty honest. Actually, my mom taught me from a young age that it’s always better to be honest. However, it is still not too late for you to learn. Here are some tips.

1. DON’T BE AFRAID OF ANGER OR SADNESS
People sometimes lie because they are afraid of making someone mad or sad. Anger and sadness are a part of life, though.

2. JUST SAY “I’D RATHER NOT SAY
If someone asks you something that you don’t want to talk about, you don’t have to answer. You can say, “I don’t want to talk about it” or “I’d rather not say.” Then, walk away if the person keeps asking. Just don’t lie.

3. BE INDEPENDENT AND THINK ABOUT THE LONG TERM
If you lie, you may impress people in the beginning. Over time, though, they’ll see through your lies. It is better to just be alone or to just have one or two friends than to have a lot of shallow friends who you feel the need to constantly impress.

I’ve been to Morocco although it was a long time ago. I liked Marrakesh.

Go to the gym
Getting my couch potato self to the gym 5 months ago

Well, for my health, I need to go to the gym since I am so fat and out of shape. Here are my obstacles:

1 The Shoe Thing

I teach English in Asia, so I have to bring a clean pair of tennis shoes to the gym. ‘Cause they don’t let you into the gym without changing your shoes. I think I’m actually suppossed to buy a brand-new pair of sparkling-clean shoes, but I’ve just been throwing mine in the washer. But it’s a pain ‘cause then I have to wear my other totally uncomfortable pair of shoes to work to keep my tennis shoes clean.

2 Money

It costs $5 dollars a day to go to the gym, plus I guess I’ll have to fork out $65 for a new pair of tennis shoes since I only like New Balance tennis shoes and they “ain’t” cheap. (see shoe thing above).

3 Embarassing

I’m so fat it’s embarassing to enter a gym.

4 Lazy

I don’t want to go.

5 Too Tired

My upstairs neighbors are so loud even though I’ve complained 100 times to the security guards. So I’m too tired due to lack of sleep.

6 Laundry

I can’t seem to keep up with the laundry just for washing clothes to wear to work, much less extra t-shirts and stretch pants for going to the gym.

7 Language Barrier

I don’t know how to use any of the machines. And the people at my gym don’t speak English. And I’m too lazy to take a language class (see lazy, subpoint 4, above).
