How I did it: I decided at the beginning of this year that I wanted this surgery for certain. How I did it: After strong, consistent encouragement from my boyfriend to accept my father for who he is I finally started listening. I realized he does his best and is trying to remedy the mistakes of his past. so i went to see tropic thunder by myself the other day. i learned that whenever someone goes to the movies by themselves they should sit in the back where no one will bother them (unless you want to be bothered) and i learned that it’s really not as sad as i thought it would be. next time i’ll pick a better movie.
i’ve been in and i’ve been to a few wedding over the past year and i didn’t think about it until now but i’ve danced at every wedding (without alcohol involvement)...so i’m checking this one off. i’ve danced in public and had a blast while doing it. it’s nice not to think about what everyone else will think for a while.
i’m currently living in Fairbanks, AK and i love it so far. i’ve only just arrived 2 weeks ago, but i plan on staying for another 9 months so there are more adventures to have. the northern lights are apparently very visible here from november – february so i’m definitely looking forward to seeing them!
