The cows got moved to another paddock on the weekend. No matter how hard you plan these things something always happens.
We had three hikers walk down the road just the the cows with their calves were going up the road. I headed off the hikers at the pass. I was ahead of the cattle in the ute and the hubby was behind the cattle with the two dogs on foot. I spoke to the ladies about the dangers of cows with new calves and suggested they wait behind the gate until the cattle came through. They waited for some time then got bored and decided to come back out from behind the gate. The cows spotted and the hikers and panicked running back towards the hubby and almost knocking him over.
There was also a cement truck involved but that’s another part of the story!
Suffice to say, the cattle eventually got moved to the other paddock and my hubby and I got fit from the experience.
