Started a blog with a different kind of intensity to it. =_
-I am grateful for aromatherapy candles and incense. It has the potential to completely alter your current state of mind (read: elevate) when you aren’t in the best of positions.
-I am grateful for the goals I am reminding myself of. For the prospect of volunteering, for trying something new in my workout routine, and for stepping outside of my comfort zone.
-I am grateful for each little ounce of clarity that comes my way. I know I’m not all sunshine and roses, but when I can look at a potentially emotional situation objectively and in the sense of what the long-term outcomes will include, I appreciate the moment. It’s like a sigh of relief, almost.
-I am grateful for invitations to social events, and making an agreement to myself to say “yes” to each invitation (within reason and ability) for at least one month.
-I am grateful for the “old” familiar faces who have returned from time to time. Usually people don’t, in my experience thus far in life, so I am appreciative when those special few do.
(technically it was book one)
“Master Your Metabolism”
I began reading this on January 1, 2012. Granted, it was a second go-round, but even so I pulled so much more information out of it. It definitely got me motivated and moving in a better direction with the quality of my food consumption (which was really already pretty good, comparatively to what I used to eat 2 years ago).

Out with the old ill-fitting clothes! I will be donating them to goodwill or shelters, and hopefully someone now can get use out of the clothing I swore I HAD to have at the time, and then wore once.
Either way, the closet needs to be revamped. Every day while dressing for work I frown at my options. Come on, now!

George Bernard Shaw:
This is the true joy in life- that being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. That being a force of nature, instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die. For the harder I work the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It’s a sort of splendid torch which I’ve got to hold up for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.
