I'm not doing so good on this... 2 years ago

I may have to cancel this entry, my hubby is so resistant to going vegetarian, he goes out of his way to get a burger and fries and brings one home for me too! I hate to nag him and he says “I just need to drink more water” not true, but what am I gonna say after I’ve said it 150 times!!! It’s so frustrating. Plus I’ve been really stressed about work, thinking of starting a second business, adding more classes to attend, I don’t know. I’m just dreaming. Anyway He wants meatloaf (real) for dinner tomorrow and I’m just too tired to say no. So meatloaf it will be. Sigh. I’ll think about this for a week or so and make a decision.



sew a halloween costume for my friend (read all 2 entries…)
I did it! 2 years ago

I made her “Pochantas” costume and she was very, very happy with it. It had pretty beads all around the collar and sleeves and ribbon trim in purple and turquoise and indian style ribbon in rust with hints on turquoise and deep blue in it. The beads were multi-colored with hints of rose and mauve and deep red so the entire costume turned out great. I will post a picture of it here if I can figure out how to download it from my camera. Anyway it sure feels good to accomplish 1 thing!!!

I picked up some books at the library 2 years ago

about Buddhist philosophy, meditating, writings by the Dalai Lama and a kind of textbook on buddhist teachings. I got kind of interested in Buddhism after reading Deepak Chopra’s fictinal account of Buddha. His life was amazing and I wanted to learn more about his teachings. I’m excited to read these books and put into practice some of the meditation exercises. I think I lack discipline in this regard and feel hopeful that I will learn something.
