watch "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"
Excellent movie 17 months ago

One of those films which sears itself into your brain and never lets go. Jack Nicholson’s performance is superlative. I learned recently that the book/movie was written by someone who was the ‘night watchman’ for the CIA LSD research labs: One of those odd but true snippets. Evidently he managed a way in to the laboratories and availed himself of the governmental supplies of pharmaceutical acid on a nightly basis. Which makes perfect sense, given the surreal quality of the movie. Of course, those were the days when LSD was considered to be experimental, a potential psychotropic weapon of war… Long before the government officially banned it, due to too many people tuning in, dropping out, and refusing to fight in pointless wars fomented by greedy old men in suits.

Whittle my internet time down to less than an hour a day (read all 4 entries…)
I recently gave the internet up for a month 3 years ago

and didn’t miss it at all, although I did miss some of my lovely friends on this site and elsewhere.

Swim with dolphins (read all 2 entries…)
I finally got to do this on May 14 3 years ago

for Mother’s Day. I can’t even describe how wonderful the whole experience was. After it was over I burst into tears, I just broke down and sobbed, I was so happy. Dolphins are the most amazing beings, full of love, they are so in tune with everything around them…

Can’t wait to do this again.
