How I did it: On Saturday I sanded the holes I had filled on Friday, so all that was left to do was paint over them and give a second taste of paint to those areas where the primer was showing through. I became irritated by the way 43things handles setting a challenge without entering a consequence!!!!
It defaulted my challenge to the first on my list, which is NOT what I first entered. I could not find a way to put the goal back on my main list after I had given or completed it. What’s with having to enter a consequence anyway? Surely just knowing that you’ve failed to beat a challenge is good enough? I could be optional IMHO.
So 10 minutes later, I can now challenge myself to what I first intended.

I want to practice these things until they become habits. Top of the list is what I’m currently focused on, crossed-out items have become habits & future goals are at the bottom of the lists.
Daily
- say grace each time I eat or drink
- morning yoga stretches
- eat fruit for brunch
- eat salad late lunch
- make the bed!
- walk or exercise at lunchtime
Weekly
- brush Renton
- clean Prince’s house
- mow the lawn on the weekend
- water office plants once a week
- take the kids somewhere fun
- ride my bike
Seasonal
- clean cars & check fluids, etc
- sharpen knives & oil boards
- replace air con filters & check the smoke alarms
- backup the computers
- clean out gutters
- weed-whack the front & hill
- spray for poison ivy
- clean windows
Annual
- remember people’s birthdays
- tidy the big closet
- empty & repack kitchen cabinets
I found it helped to put these things as tasks on my google calendar.
