I officially suck at crochet… perhaps it could be blamed on my limited resources and the size of the yarn, but all I made were several scarves big enough for stuffed animals : )

Challenges are good. Challenges should be interesting. This year I am going to try to go without adding more clothes to my wardrobe. I am allowing myself to buy secondhand clothes and to trade or receieve hand-me-downs from friends- and for each article I accumulate, I’ll give one away. If I buy something brand new- I will have to give away two. Since I will still be in Bulgaria for the first 9 months of the year, it will be a interesting task.
I will be keeping a blog at secondhandyear.blogspot.com to chronicle the adventure.
But you should go to Istanbul! Just remember to NOT take a bus from Bulgaria as many are fronts for smuggling goods and can put you in a compromising situation.
The city itself is GORGEOUS and there is something for everyone!
