What an amazing day on the river just outside of Tallahassee. We paddleboarded down to a small cove where at least 8 manatees were hanging out! It was so soooo amazing! They swam up and nudged our paddle boards with their noses and were playing with us :) When I touched one of them, I was surprised at how rough their skin felt! (I guess I was expecting them to be slimy.) They hung around until we decided to head back up the river which was a long time because we were in awe.. we made new friends.. hahaha! It was an incredible experience that I’ll never forget.
I have since come to the conclusion that I am in need of a waterproof camera!

1. The hiccup is the spasmodic contraction of the diaphragm that repeats several times per minute. In humans, the abrupt rush of air into the lungs causes the epiglottis (lid-like flap of elastic cartilage tissue covered with a mucous membrane, attached to the root of the tongue) to close.
2. While many cases develop spontaneously, hiccups are known to be triggered by specific events, such as lack of water, eating too fast, being hungry for long, taking a cold drink while eating a hot meal, burping, eating very hot or spicy food, laughing vigorously, coughing, drinking alcoholic beverages in excess, crying out loud (sobbing causes air to enter the stomach), some smoking situations where abnormal inhalation can occur (in tobacco or other smoke like cannabis, perhaps triggered by precursors to coughing), electrolyte imbalance, talking too long, clearing the throat, by some of the stronger opiate painkillers such as Heroin, Morphine, and Oxycodone or from lack of vitamins. Hiccups may be caused by pressure to the phrenic nerve by other anatomical structures, or having the sensation that there is food in the esophagus, rarely by tumors and certain kidney disease. The American Cancer Society reports that 30% of chemotherapy patients suffer singultus as a side effect of treatment.
3. Long Term Cases: In January 2007, teenager Jennifer Mee from Florida hiccuped for five weeks, from January 23, 2007 until February 28, 2007. After her hiccups returned, her neurologist suggested that she may actually have Tourette syndrome. Charles Osborne had the hiccups for 68 years, from 1922 to 1990, and was entered in the Guinness World Records as the man with the Longest Attack of Hiccups.
1. The Milky Way system is a spiral galaxy consisting of over 400 billion stars , plus gas and dust arranged into three general components: the nuclear bulge and Galactic Center, the Halo and the disk.
2. The Halo consists of the oldest stars known, including about 146 Globular Clusters, believed to have been formed during the early formation of the Galaxy with ages of 10-15 billion years from their H-R Diagrams. The halo is also filled with a very diffuse, hot, highly-ionized gas. The very hot gas in the halo produces a gamma-ray halo. Neither the full extent nor the mass of the halo is well known. Investigations of the gaseous halos of other spiral galaxies show that the gas in the halo extends much further than previously thought, out to hundreds of thousands of light years. Studies of the rotation of the Milky Way show that the halo dominates the mass of the galaxy, but the material is not visible, now called dark matter. The disk of the Galaxy is a flattened, rotating system which contains the Sun and other intermediate-to-young stars. The sun sits about 2/3 of the way from the center to the edge of the disk (about 25,000l.y. by the most modern estimates). The sun revolves around the center of the galaxy about once every 250 million years. The disk also the galaxy about contains atomic and molecular gas and dust.
3. Since the Earth lies in the disk of the Milky Way, dust prevents us from determining the large scale structure of the Galaxy’s spiral pattern beyond a few thousand light-years. Radio observations have detailed the structure of the gas in the spiral arms, but it is still not known if our galaxy is a normal spiral like our neighbor Andromeda, or a barred spiral like shown to the left. The bulge of the galaxy is slightly elongated in the direction of the Sun, which may be due to a bar.

I went parasailing with this little business on Clearwater Beach. It was about 70 dollars per person and you spend around 12 minutes actually up in the air. We chose to do the 800 ft cable (you can go with a 600 if you aren’t as comfortable.) It was a blast though, I was actually able to manage my camera up there and take pictures of the two of us. It was pretty incredible, you really don’t feel much of a draft at all. We also got dunked half way in the water which was lots of fun, but my favorite part was when they were reeling us back in and we saw a sea turtle swimming directly below us! It was an awesome experience. I would definitely do this again.
I’m finally in my FINAL semester of school at Saint Petersburg College. God I can’t wait to finish and go to University of South Florida.
Woooo!
YAYY I got straight A’s for the summer!! Im finally back on track, now I am working on getting straight A’s for fall!
I feel like I’m drowning in this. School is putting me further into debt and my CC interest is awful. I want to have good credit..
So I know a place where I can do this in Clearwater, so Im going to set a goal to save… hmmm… $1000 dollars and then I am going to reward myself with a lesson or two.
got my second shot a few days ago!! :)
My arm was a little bit more sensitive this time though..
oh wellll! August will be my last dose, so I cant forget to make my appointment for August 7!
Things I need to cut:
-Sodas
-Pre-Packaged CRAP in a box
-Sweets
-SALTStarchy foods - I eat them to excess
I want to try only buying whole grain foods from now on :)
..oh and…. Im starting SWIMMING 5x/Week :) Wooo!
