Start using 43things again and create more focused goals
Restart 10 months ago

It is the start of a new year and I find myself coming right back to 43things. I stopped using it during November. Came back to see what goals I had put and I was surprised to find that I had actually completed a few of them. I decided to reuse 43things because there are a lot of things I want to work on this year. I tend to forget or loose track easily so this would be helpful again

This site has helped me greatly. Helped me keep track of my progress and kept my motivated to wake up earlier and even get my first job. It even challenged to try out things I’ve always wanted to do, but was never focused enough to actually do it.

I “gave up” on many things on the list. I will pick them up again though. Some of the goals need to become more specific. Others just aren’t my priority at the moment. Most of the goals I kept are ones that I am actively working on or are for positive reinforcement. The rest of the goals that didn’t fit those two categories are there to remind that there should be no limit to what I want to achieve.

I have a few goals I want to add to the list in mind. I’m trying to think them through though. I want to make sure I know exactly what I want to get done.

This goal is here to remind to be consistent in using 43things as well as create more specific goals.

Ride Goliath in Six Flags (read all 3 entries…)
Conquered 10 months ago

Just before the end of the year, I took went to Six Flags specifically to ride Goliath. My friends and I decided to end the day with that ride. I was insanely nervous while I was in line. When I actually got into the coaster, my friend offered her hand to hold. That was a bad move though because as the coaster began its ascent I kept gripping hard. Then came that drop I had dreaded since I was a little kid.

After the ride was over, I found my self completely underwhelmed. That ride was nothing compared to other roller coasters I’ve been on. The drop didn’t even feel that long. I can’t believe I was even afraid of that roller coaster in the first place.
