This is one of the best days of my life. I call my mom as soon as I paid the last one, because she knows how much I used to spend on clothes. There is boxes and boxes filled with clothes that I left home when I came to live in Dubai. I’m so grateful to be deliver from compulsive shopping. I even have 2000$ in the bank account. And more is coming. I am dept-free: I feel so rich. Yaaaaayyyyyyy!

So, I bought a new MacBook, a winter jacket which I won wear anytime soon since I live in the desert and paid school fees. And I used my credit cards. :( But today, I paid of some, so it went down but without those expenses, I would have paid them all by now! For the winter jacket, the fur was coming off, I exchange it but it’s still coming off a bit. The company offered to exchange the fur from the coat but I’m a bit hesitant after those back and forth shipping. And it would be a reimbursement of 500$...
MC: 1300$ out of 1500$. (87%) New balance to pay: 200$.
Visa: 800$ out of 2000$.(40%) New balance to pay: 1200$.
So far, I’ve paid 60% of both credit cards. Can’t wait to celebrate my new life free of debts!!!! Hopefully next month! :D
SO when I got back in Dubai, I find it pretty difficult to pursue this challenge. 1) I live far from the city and there is literally nothing but sand around my building, except a Costa Cafe and a AllDay Minimart in the next building. So with the jetlag, I would wake up to late to catch the bus that goes to the mall and there was absolutely nothing vegan in the cafe. Then, my next flight was to Bangkok. I had planned to do the cooking class (which was amazing) and imagine, being vegan on this layover when I have a cooking class? I decided to put in on ice since I was starting to feel week. But I have to admit, the first day when I started, I didn’t feel any particular cravings because I didn’t feel any pressure and was just doing it for fun. But when I revert to eating anything and everything, I started to feel bad again. The thing is, my problem is not meat, it’s the dairy products, eggs and when I get to much carbohydrates. Now, I gained all the weight I lost in a week and feeling heavy (no fat but more like lack of energy).
Cleansing the body is very important and exercising too. I’ll see what I’m up to next, but since I put the challenge, I really wanna do it in full 30 days.
Two things didn’t encourage me to pursue: the ideas from the vegan book I was reading and the response when you say you’re doing a challenge ‘What!? No you can’t live without meat’ etc and how people were not open. At least trying, made me more opened to others even if I don’t share their views totally. I’ll finish this goal one day.
